How to organize Weidian links with a three-part record
Discovery page
The Findsindex category, result or shared catalog page where you first saw the item.
Raw source
The Weidian, Taobao, 1688, Yupoo or other source that should still match the same item and variant.
Your evidence note
The measurements, photos, price context and open question that determine whether the link remains useful.
Optional service URL
A service-specific or converted version kept only for the workflow that requires it.
Do not overwrite the raw source with the latest converted URL. Keep both. If the destination changes later, you will still know what the row originally referred to.
Keep source labels consistent
Label each link by the page it actually opens. If you found an item in a catalog but the product details live on a marketplace page, save both links and note which one supplied the photos, variant and displayed price.
| Label | Use it for | Do not infer |
|---|---|---|
| Weidian | A Weidian marketplace page or product identifier. | Seller reliability, authenticity or current stock. |
| Taobao | A Taobao marketplace page and its selected variant. | That the thumbnail price applies to every option. |
| 1688 | A wholesale-oriented source with quantities or tiered variants. | That a single-unit purchase or displayed figure applies. |
| Yupoo | An image-led album or catalog reference. | That the album is a complete listing or purchase route. |
| Findsindex | A discovery, category or result page. | That every onward page has been independently verified. |
| Converted link | A reformatted URL used by a particular service. | That the conversion validates product or seller claims. |
Handle redirects and converters as formatting steps
A converter may make a marketplace URL compatible with another service. After opening it, compare the visible title, images, selected variant and source identifier with your saved row. If the destination changes unexpectedly, mark the row as “source mismatch” and stop. A similar-looking page is not a safe substitute.
Compare services without losing the source
If you use more than one shopping service, keep product evidence separate from service-specific information. The same raw item may be presented with different fee language, route options, prohibited-item rules, photo services or support policies.
Product layer
Raw source, variant, measurements, photos, stated item price and product-specific uncertainty.
Service layer
Current service fees, available routes, warehouse options, support process and policy date.
This separation lets you change services without rebuilding the product research—and prevents one service’s interface from becoming evidence about the item itself.
Rows to handle carefully
- Screenshot-only source: no current page or product identifier to check.
- Catalog and source mismatch: the links show different items, variants or quantities.
- Price without option context: the row omits the selected size, configuration or minimum quantity.
- Repeated conversion chain: several redirects hide which source is original.
- Private support proof: important claims depend on a chat screenshot that other readers cannot verify.
Prepare a clean handoff before continuing
- Open the catalog page and raw source in separate tabs.
- Confirm the item, variant and critical evidence still match.
- Record the date and the one unanswered question.
- Only then create or save a service-specific link if your workflow requires it.
- Direct account, payment, order and tracking issues to the official service involved.
